anw, ss lecture today (friday) was interesting! though it's kinda like a social studies lecture, bt at least i enjoyed (and paid attention) more than psycho lecture.. haha

hostel next sem?

been thinking whether wanna stay in hostel next sem. u know, wad's uni life w/o the experience of staying in hostel?

AND it's time i learn to wash my own clothes (cant bear to see my clothes tuo se anymore), cook/buy my own dinner (since home dinner nowadays only gets nicer when my eldest sis comes home), wake up 1 hr b4 class starts, and most imptly, have a room to myself.

but sad to say i'll have to accumulate enough points (40 if im nt wrong) if i really want to stay in hostel next sem. bt seriously, im a SUPER lazy (+ anti social) person so 40 points to me is like... wow. and even von (whom i thought has been quite active in her school activities) couldnt get enough points to stay in hostel too...

19/08/07- kY bdae celebration

it was yet another belated bdae celebration.

it was simple, bt i guess we got to know each other better yea?

we went to AMK to check out the porridge steamboat. to our disappointmt, it wasnt the gooey gooey type of porridge tt we had expected. bt the food + service were really worth the money.


playing of the 'i have never' game to finish eating the food was the start of the 暴料-ing of the day. yes, 美琪是个乖孩子! LOL

watched Mr Bean's Holidays at zh's hse, followed by some you-tubing and we had another round of 暴料-ing.

and i've just realised tt Mr Sagedog DIDNT contribute much rite?

(oh ya, we tried singing the potter puppet pals, with cs as snape, ky as ron and me as dumbledore. it was SUPER funny can!)

have been late for almost every lecture since sch started.

and i can almost confirm im not an artsy fartsy (is tt how u spell it?) person becos psychology lecture somehow bored me. sigh. let's see what's my psycho grade at the end of the sem.

anw, i treated myself to the char kuay teow opp tj today! since lesson ended so early and i didnt join my classmates to watch 881 after sch AND it feels weird to go home so early..

it just taste heavenly. i shall make an effort to have it every wk. HAHA.

im no great fan of jay chou (owning only 1 of his many albums), bt i have only 2 words to say after watching this movie- 超赞 !

the plot was superb. 真的.

and im really impressed by the way the story was presented.

and yea i have to agree, jay looks REALLY cool (ok, shuai, rather) when playing the piano. haha

so go watch it! no spoilers on my blog! 这是个不能说的秘密! i can only say, it's sweet, touching, and exciting too. =)

i really cant believe my 3 mths hols (2 mths and 1 wk, to be exact) are over just like tt!

this hols is the longest tt i will ever have in my life until i retire, since attachmt periods will only get longer..

i felt really hypoxaemic too these few days after the cpr course. sleepy, giddy, nauseous, muscle aches..

anw, went kkh to sign the deed today. the hospital will only pay for my tuition fees and allowance from this yr onwards (暴发户 hope dashed. sigh. haha). bt the good thing is, i would only need to serve 2 yr (3 yr if honours) bond.

toured arnd there ytd when i went to submit the docs and found tt kkh is really great la! there's actually a kkh mall in the children's tower! bt mostly selling children and maternity stuff la. oh and there's actually Mcdonalds there can u believe it? and delifrance too! heard frm amy tt it's near little india, so can lunch there too! =)

sch is starting soon and im kinda suffering frm end-of-hols depression. been eating alot! sigh.

wish KOK YONG a happy 20th bdae!! =)

behave more like a 20 yr old rather than like an ah pek la!! cut down on eating or u'll be having a spare tyre an arm rest soon! u sound younger with ur normal voice! dun think it sounds manly when u lower it! it sounds ah pek-ish! haha!

BCLS training

im qualified to perform CPR alr!! erm, i think so? haha

the course was super tiring. so much to learn and practise! one rescuer adult cpr, 2 rescuer adult cpr, heimlich manoeuvre, chest thrust, infant cpr and infant fbao (conscious/unconscious)!

my first attempt was super disastrous la! forgot to shout "call ambulance 995", exerted too much force for chest compressions, and panted like mad when doing ventilation..

luckily we passed! shall practise more on my bolster regularly. erm, shd be can rite? haha. and i shd start training on my stamina alr. felt SO tired after the course!

gerk's baby dummy got head concussation twice la! poor thing! LOL

NURSING FOC 07

nursing foc was fun! and luxurious.=)

SAUSAGE BUN just rocks! and sausage bun ogls rock too yea? haha.

01/08/07- First day:
- nurses' day concert was quite ok. feedback from my og freshies were nt bad.
- 食字路口 was fun! just tt it was SUPER tiring. running arnd to look for food. and i have to say, sausage bun played with integrity. haha

02/08/07- Second day:
- station games were super high can. esp our first station (the bouncing on the chair game) and the rolling game..
- SAUSAGE BUN WON THE COOKING COMPETITION! woo!!! shall post the photo of our masterpiece soon!
- our og made so much noise during the night walk!
- double 终极密码 was fun too! just tt it got a bit boring after some time.
- my mentee didnt come for the camp! =(

03/08/07- Third day:
- the breakfast was super nice! haha
